hi there I am an absolute nooby in making music!
I try to create an ambient music for a video i've made,
I've downloaded a demo of FL5 and it looks like a good tool to me,
I've modified an acapella track from eminem that it sounds just like a synthy background melodie, sounds ok to me so far....two problems I've got are the beat (I know this comes with lots time/experience) and to find an acapella track that fits well into this piece. and thats my question to you
can annyone tell me an sweet female acapella track?
here is an work in progress from my track
http://www.ardworx.de/forumhost/first_track.mp3
I know the beat sucks but I just playing with FL5 for one day now
and made only two tutorials yet, but anyway tell me what you think of it!
any comments and tips will be appreciated!

The vox at the beginning sounds good man. Maybe ease it in instead of rushing it. Keep with it cause you have the feel you just need to tweak some things to get your sound right. You dont want individual drums standing out - try to get everything to "gel" together. As far as the layout goes - thats up to you - ambient music is a pretty wide-open style.
If you're looking for some good female vocals search the list for Jan Johnston, Planet Funk, Everything but the Girl, Ian Van Dahl.... |

thanx, yeah the vox roxx!
its an eminem rap through vocoder and playing around with some parameters, sounds odd dosn't it?
thanx for your recommendations on the vocals!
I recognized that for this track/beat a female voice wont fit so well,
I am now making speechsynthy vocals of the kraftwerk song
