anything good takes time - i've been mixing for 4 to 5 years and i'm just now starting to get a sound and style that I can really appreciate. Don't do it to impress yourself or other people - do it cause you love the music and you want to add something to it. So turn that frown upside-down...or i guess it'd be rightside-left or leftside-right.....whatever

yeah, just keep your "eyez on the prize". if it's your friend's opinions that R keepin u down then just take it as constructive criticism. if u can make something that u truly feel is the definition of your soul then u have accomplished something that I, 4 one, can definetly appreciate. if u R doing NEthing with music then u are always learning something no matter how small it is. hard times in life R my best source of creativity and ambition
didnt mean 2 get all touchy-feely-philosophical on u but thats just basically how I feel bout this stuff
no....thats what everybody wants no doubt. i'm planning to start an intern position next year and get a degree in technical musical production after i finish my computer science degree. do whatever it takes.......except kill somebody

yo Juno.... I checked some of your remarks and you seem like a sensible dude when it comes to music...I also lisened to some of the blenz that others have upped...I know that I am the King of Blenz....I've been doing it for about 20 something years . I was born with the gift of blending....I got it from my father .I have over 12 hours of blends and no way of putting them out . They are professional sounding and mostly R&B backed with HIP HOP instrumentals > I have a few Reggae backed with hip hop and some R&B backed with reggae. I know once someone hears them they will appreciate it. I don't know how to up them , besides ,if I up them I know catz will just claim them as theirs . I don't know what to do .
Music is a huge part of my life and i try 2 stay open minded 2 all kinds. i havent posted alot of my stuff on the i-net. i usually just give CDs 2 my production partners and DJ buddies so they can play them and tell me what ppl think. so as far as upping them, i can only give u a few ideas: (A) go 2 the Audio Productions forum and look at the URL of where others have posted their tracks and choose a site....or (B) I sometimes listen 2 stuff on http://www.tightbeatz.com which is a site that seems 2 B mostly dedicated 2 hip-hop/R n' B beats and blendz. u are always running the risk of other ppl hijacking your stuff when u put it up 2 download. my suggestion would B 2 find a site that only allows listening or streaming because a lot of ppl dont know how 2 streamload stuff and sound quality usually gets squashed in streaming also. i would love 2 check your stuff out so let me know if u do get it uploaded or if there's anything else u think i could help with.
if u use **** NO P2P DISCUSSION **** - my user name is the same as here; if u have aol instant messenger - my username is cypheriousdotcom; if u want 2 email me - its juno_reactor@email.com chat wit'cha later man................TK
I appreciate the suggestions . I might up one or two blenz just to get some feedback. I 'll probably just up the ones that I know people can't duplicate .Anyway , thanks for you're time man , I hope you find sucess at whatever it is you're doing. Peace
hey soundboyz,
what you need is business skills, man! You say you're the "King Of Blenz." Make us believe you. Put your stuff out independently, cause that's the best way to go. For some reason, cats love that underground, rare vibe, ya' feel me? You gotta create an aura about yourself, man. Use your weaknesses as your strengths. Use something bell-ringing like "20 Years Of Rare Quality" or "Too Real For Radio," or whatever matches your vibe. I've created a small, growing audience in my hometown, Chattanooga, TN. I love it when cats check for my mix like a new fix. I want to reach Atlanta, GA the same way. But you gotta be business saavy. You gotta brand yourself. Cause in the game, it takes more than skills. You gotta have an actual product. Hope this helps you, buddy. With a title like "King Of Blenz," you can have everybody vibing to your mixes.
Mel.....I think you hit the nail right on the head . I do lack the business
end of the game . Thats why I have not been sucessful in going farther than making the product .I have always looked to someone else to step in and finish up the business end of it, but I can't seem to even accomplish that . Deep down I know you are right and ultimatly I have to find a way to put it out myself. I always invisioned putting it out legally , but with over 150 blenz , I quickly realized what I was up against .I really appreciate people like you and juno giving me straight forward advice . I do appreciate it and hopefully , for myself and everyone interested , I will overcome this last hurdle and find a way to get it out to the people ....because after all that I have done and been through....I really want to bring entertainment and happiness to people.Peace out.
Where are you wanting to up it to? If here, then it should be some rules in the test pressing area. If you want to upload elsewhere, try soundclick. I had a few of my track there at one time.
