Need sum help with DC++

I have been on a LAN party at my friends place now 2 times. His brother usually host it. After every hour we often have like 30min break where we share files with DC++ and we are not connected to the internet at all.
I’ve bn having an own LAN at my place but idk how to set up DC++ to share files via LAN. I know there must be a computer that hostes the DC++ hub ofc, but i don’t know anything more.

A little help please?
