Recent problems on the site & measures to protect yourse

Hi all, I’m helping acapella look after the server that this site runs on now and we are aware that you’ve been experiencing issues lately with files trying to download themselves to your computers. We really do appreciate that you are still here and we have been working behind the scenes to undo these problems and remove the likely sources of them happening again (although we can’t remove the Ukraine, so I’m sure their residents are still trying).

For now all the traces of nastiness appear to be gone, so any users who don’t have an anti virus installed, or those of you that only have the ‘free’ Norton that came with your PC’s (these ‘free’ copies expire in 3 months, so your protection will be out of date). We thoroughly recommend that you download the latest AVG Free edition, which does keep itself up to date without stealing your wallet. This is a precaution to ensure you didn’t pick anything up and your PCs are clean and tidy. From this point forward, any users who do get pop-ups from their anti virus or notice anything suspicious when using the site, please let us know in the forums and if possible let us know which page it happened on (or all pages if that’s the case) and we can investigate, between us we’ll keep improving things and return this to a place of tranquility!
