I definitely looked at some tutorials before. As a seasoned designer now (it’s my profession) the best thing I can tell you about tutorials…
Use them so you can learn the tools, but don’t become dependent on the look. Don’t let them dictate your style. Once you learn ‘HOW’ you made whatever you did, play with the techniques and apply it to other stuff.
