depends on the tune i'm doing. saws are nice, pretty mainstay i think in dance/trance/and any other electronica really. a nice plucked sound floats my boat too. as i said, depends on the tune and the mood i want to create.

ferry corsten used a panpipe as a solo on a tune from the right of way album. can't remember which at this point in time. lol. granted it was über distorted. was nice though.

i am going on a bit here aren't i? lol

there's something i'm working on at the minute and the lead sound is sooooo out there, i think it may surprise. keeping that one close to my chest at the moment though. don't want people to do it before i do. lol

I agree with Matt - it all depends. But I also really like a plucked synth, especially when it has a nice echo in a breakdown and it sounds so great... ahhh...

I like it smooth, long and with massive reverb. But I do agree with Matt's that it's all about the mood ur trying to create.
