all it takes is practice....the more you do it the more you get familiar with many things....just how you learn how to walk since a baby:)

ive been djing for bout year and a hlaf now but only took it serious in the past year. ive already played in clubs like so i feel like i am learning quickly. tips i have although i am not too experienced would be the same as what people have said....practise.
it is good to know your tunes but not essential if you get into the rythm and feel it then it flow, keep going even if u mess up keep going. lose yourself in the music, sounds strange but i djd in a club before and i went into a zone, like trance state of mind i was just lost haha, i wasnt thinking of n e thing but the music and atmoshphere i was going wild just mixing tune after tune dancing about and wasnt paying attention to anything but the music, then wen i looked up the dancefloor was rocking! gotta say in the short time ive been djing that was a fantastic moment. you gotta be passionate about what you do, mix music you love and want people to hear, dont be swayed by other people, do what you like. make your own techniques of mixing dont follow , if music and djing is your passion it will come! right sorry people essay over Smilie_PDT

since 98 i suppose... 10 years, wow.
Had a few stints on radio after i won a dj comp. But never saw out my desire to dj in clubs, and then lost that desire Smilie_PDT
But outdoor festivals... that would be rad. And i might go back to radio, it's fun to share the love.

ALMOST 10 YEARS!!

LEARN TO READ A CROWD.

DONT BE AFRAID TO HEAR BOOOOOO
(THIS IS GONNA HAPPEN AT LEAST ONCE IN YOU LIFE)

BE A PEOPLE PERSON

KNOW YOUR GENRE OF MUSIC

DONT BE A BEDROOM DJ FOR YEARS THINKING YOU HAVE TO PRACTICE FOREVER, THE BEST WAY TO LEARN (OR THE WAY I DID) WAS TOSS YOURSELF INTO THE FIRE OF A HOT PARTY, YOU WILL LEARN SO MUCH THAT WAY

JUST MY 0.02
