using the search button and also looking down the mac page. i swear there are atleast 5 threads on "mac software".
Ableton Live is standard, Serato will crop up, as will Tracktor DJ/Studio 3 (or 4), Logic may be mentioned as will Protools.

Audacity is basic and free and there is a plethora of stuff out there. just get your butt out there and read, read, READ!

^ Agreed.

If you're willing to spend the money, then you can't go wrong with Logic.

It depends what exactly you need the software for I guess. 'Mixing' doesn't particuarly say too much.

as pc:nero burning

mac≠toast

toast as far as simply burning music, files and anything else, 9/10 toast is not the best program to use. windows standard burning utility basically sucks, but osx's does not. once you get into the expanded functionality of converting videos and mounting/ripping/repacking disk iso's then toast does hold some clout on the mac platform. but long story short, just burning a quick dvd, music or data cd you should be using something a whole lot less bloated than toast. /rant

Get Aduacity:
