Remember the ol' days of 2005 when everyone only had 5 acapellas a month as credits? Well I'm afraid to say that we've had to revert back to that once again and change everyone's accounts from 10 per month down to 5. We've also had to increase the waiting period from 5 days to 10 until you can obtain access to the acapellas. This we feel will ease up on the overall bandwidth surges we've been experiencing and might even encourage new members to become 'active' within the message board (forums)
So from immediate effect, everyone's accounts will default to 5 credits per month, no exceptions! We'd actually rather have a website up and running than risk a "User has exceeded their monthly bandwidth limit" type message.
Perhaps a victim of our own success? - in that we've come very far in an extremely, quite surprisingly short period of time. We love the stats but we have to be careful.
So, for most of you this will not be an issue at all, 5 acapellas a month is by far many more than you could actually produce with in a month but for the 'bag-head, blood sucking' leechers amongst us we feel perhaps that this may hit you the hardest and possibly even force you back to good ol' P2P.

And onto some good news.  The REPORTING feature within the acapella system has now been made tons more user-friendly (if we do say so ourselves) and as reported in another post, we're just about ready to open up the NEW UPLOAD system which now enables more than one file at a time to be uploaded (should you so wish) and best of all it features a really rather splendid graphical upload progress monitor! thanks to your donations this has been made possible.

that change wouldn't bother me one bit. but, two questions.
1. for those that have, say ten dl credits currently available, would we be immediatly dropped to five, or, would we be able to use our five remaining credits?
2. do the bonus credits remain available, or do those also go bye bye? |

| i dont really care. is there some way you can remove all the leechers. it cant be that hard to work out who the are. bags and propz anyone?? |

Hi whitewolf, there are many members that feel the same way you do with regards to leechers. I'm afraid we are stuck with them, as we can't force them to take part in forum discussions so we can't remove them for not taking part. Spammers however are a different story. Admin and the Moderating team are removing spammers on a daily basis and we have recently got very stricth on them. We will not tolerate spammers anymore and are on a major clean up of the site. If we do miss the odd spammer, we apologise, but eventually we sill catch up with them.
Besides closing registrations, we are stuck with leechers like most other sites, and leeching is part of human nature, for most humans that is.
We do try and keep our active loyal members happy and we'd like to think that we are doing the best we can.
