New closing date = 31st January 2007.
Rules: Each entrant must submit show 2 (two) designs in the making, a light and a dark one. How you show us your designs is up to you, whichever method works best for you.
For presentation purposes please DON'T place [img] tags in your posts to your full size designs, it will look ugly on the forum. Please either include thumbnails (preferred) or create a link.
Closing date (extended): Edit: 31st January 2007 (we'd like a quick turnaround on your designs)
Prizes: $25 for 1st, $15 for 2nd and $10 for 3rd.
Winners: Best 3 designs to be picked by you guys (winners will be announced 2 weeks after the closing date - see below)
All 3 winning designs will then be made available to download from here for all members!
Original logo parts Available here - 0.5mb
ONLY the winners' original artwork will then need to be submitted to wallpapercontest[ at ]acapellas4u.co.uk
Staff aren't allowed to enter, sorry. but my entries below.

I know the staff aren't allowed to enter, but I've just started learning a program which I use to design my cd covers. As a bit of practice I cam up with this basic wallpaper

I wasn't sure what resolution you wanted, so I just went crazy and made them at 2048x1536. These can be scaled down, of course.
