Popular Computer puts out some interesting stuff, I dug the remix of that New Young Pony Club song 'Ice Cream'

On the less bangin' side of the scene, Metronomy does some pretty solid remixes...

I hope I'm not stepping on any toes here, but I've yet to hear a remix I thought was anywhere near as good as the originals being remixed. One of my good friends (the person who referred me here in fact) DJ Bobby V does an incredible job of stitching songs together to make non-stop club mixes and I suppose the 'in between' stuff could be considered remixing ... but I digress ... and I love his stuff.

Oh, I just thought of one ... Kid Rock's remix of Back In Black is pretty stellar.

Kid Rock?!?!?!?!?! Not only is Kid Rock NOT indie music (which was the whole point of this topic)... that piece of crap song is not a remix, its that bulls**t corporate label he's on recycling a known hit to boost sales... i guess the reason you havent heard any good remixes is because youre not listening to good music. sorry i guess.

I repeat ... the ONLY remix I've ever heard that I really like is Kid Rock's Back In Black ... indie or otherwise. As for listening to good music, I have listened to more indie music than you could conceive (check my bio) and the vast majority of it is quite good. However, being indie doesn't mean it's automatically good and coming from a label doesn't mean it's automatically bad ... you may learn that when you've grown up. Smilie_PDT

No, being on a big label doesnt make you bad, but being kid rock or into kid rock is substantially bad

AND, i think we're getting off topic here, i believe the question was...

"Who do you think does the best remixes of indie rock songs?"

posting something about kid rock in relation to an indie artist is like a slap in the face. Ba-Wit-Da-Ba on into some other topic if you want to keep up this kid rock talkie talk

anyway, back on track

im digging the boys noize remix of that bloc party song, banquet... pretty slick.

ALSO, Blackstrobe did a pretty great job of remixing the rapture... i think they actually have a lot of good remixes up on there website for your listening pleasure!
